In 2005, Software MacKiev released the first product that the company created rather than licensed, (3D Weather Globe & Atlas ), which was chosen as runner up for Best Mac OS X User Experience at the 10th annual Apple Design Awards. In 2007, Software MacKiev acquired Roger Wagner Publishing, Inc. from Sunburst Technologies, thus gaining ownership of the HyperStudio and SiteCentral brands. In 2010, Software MacKiev introduced (Kid Pix 3D ), which won an Editor's Choice Award for Excellence in Design from Children's Software Review, and a Parent's Choice Silver Award.
